Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been in the spotlight ever since Sanjay Leela Bhansali began his 'Padmavati' project. However, the actress is in the limelight even more so now after being threatened with physical harm by the Karni Sena amidst the whole 'Padmavati' controversy. The actress has had quite an eventful few months or one can say...even a year! This will be Deepika's third portrayal in a period drama. Here's what she had to say about playing them all On playing Leela, Mastani and now Padmavati, she said, "The trio is similar in their spirit and courage, their vulnerability and belief. At the same time, they are also very different. Leela had a childlike, playful innocence while Mastani was a warrior who literally took to the battlefield. Now, Padmavati is a warrior in her own right without weapons. Her power comes from her intelligence and her bravery, from the way she stood for what she believed in and the way she protected her people." On the topic of solely being asked to do 'Padmavati', she said, "It's one of the most memorable moments of my career to date." And on the topic of being threatened of physical harm, she said, "Well, at this point, as a woman, an artist and a citizen of this country I feel angry, I feel let down and I also find it amusing." She added, "I will never feel scared. Fear is not an emotion I have ever identified with."
