Defense Minister Rajnath Singh extends Diwali greetings to nation

New Delhi:  On the occasion of Diwali, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh extended his greetings to the public. Singh took to Twitter to say, On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, best wishes to you and your entire family. God's wish for you is that this festival brings you more joy, progress, happiness, and prosperity."

Diwali will be celebrated this year on Thursday, November 4th. People commemorate the festival by decorating their homes, exchanging gifts, and praying "Light triumphs over darkness, good triumphs over evil, and knowledge triumphs over ignorance.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah had earlier extended Diwali greetings to the public.

During the festival, people decorate their homes, exchange gifts, and offer prayers to commemorate the "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance."
