Process of making driving license resumed in Dehradun

The Divisional Transport Office (RTO) has started driving license (DL), registration of vehicles, issuing permits and fitness check process from Monday, 91 days after the lockdown. 20 vehicle owners registered online to collect DL and tax on the first day. Currently, six vehicle owners registered for permits, four for fitness and nine for enforcement-related work. Many people reached the office without registering due to lack of information and the landline phone was not correct, but returned the system to everyone online.

After fixing the landline phone by the Department of Telecommunications, the registration process started at 11 am. The duty of two employees has been imposed for registration. RTO DC Pathai told that tokens are being issued to vehicle owners along with registration. Those who have been registered on Monday will have to appear in the RTO office on Tuesday morning along with the relevant documents. Masks and sanitizers are mandatory for all vehicle owners on arrival.

Apart from this, if anyone reaches the office without mask and sanitizer, then his documents will not be accepted under any circumstances. According to RTO DC Pathai, applicants will have to register on the office's landline number 0135-2743432 a day in advance to get a driving license or a vehicle permit, to do fitness check or to collect tax. On the second day of registration, applicants can come with documents from 11 am to 2 am.
