New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister and the national convenor of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), will hold a press conference at noon today (Tuesday) to discuss the COVID-19 issue, amid mounting coronavirus cases. Kejriwal recently recovered from the virus after testing positive for COVID-19 a day after holding a political rally in Uttarakhand's poll-bound Dehradun. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) decided at its meeting to only allow take-away services at restaurants, according to reports. The meeting, which took place on Monday, was headed by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. The meeting was attended by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his deputy Manish Sisodia, Health Minister Satyendar Jain, Revenue Minister Kailash Gehlot, Chief Secretary Vijay Dev, and other officials from the health department. To combat the spread of coronavirus, eateries and bars in the capital were previously authorised to operate at 50% capacity. The DDMA had resolved to impose a weekend curfew in Delhi at its previous meeting last week to prevent crowding in marketplaces and public areas. The Graded Response Action Plan now imposes weekend and night curfews in Delhi (GRAP). According to a medical bulletin issued on Monday, a total of 15,68,896 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in Delhi.
