Delhi L-G, CM discuss action plan to tackle possible 3rd wave of COVID-19

New Delhi: Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and CM Arvind Kejriwal met on Friday to discuss preparations and action plans to deal with the corona virus infection in the capital in view of the possibility of a third wave of corona virus infection. In a tweet, the Chief Minister's Office said that the State Level Task Force, a large number of health care staff and a Special Task Force are included in the Action Plan of the Delhi Government for the treatment of children to deal with the third wave.

CMO said 'lt governor and CM Kejriwal also discussed the management of beds and oxygen, availability of medicines and vaccines in the meeting.' In the last 24 hours, 158 new cases of corona infection have been reported in Delhi and 10 more patients have lost their lives, but the relief was that 343 patients recovered from the epidemic infection during this period. The capital has registered a steady decline in active cases due to increase in the number of healthy people as compared to new cases. In Delhi, active cases have come down to 2554 today.

According to a health bulletin issued by Delhi's health department, the number of infected people has reached 14,31,868 after 158 new cases were reported on Thursday, while the recovery of 343 more patients has increased the number of corona-free people to 14,04,428. The corona infection rate in Delhi has now marginally increased to 0.20 per cent. The death toll due to death of 10 more patients has reached 24,886.
