Delhi Congress all set to welcome Bharat Jodo Yatra

NEW DELHI: The Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra is scheduled to reach the nation's capital through the Badarpur Border on Saturday, December 24, and the Delhi branch of the Congress all set to welcome it.

The party has worked tirelessly to create a big celebration with the central leaders taking the helm. Hoardings and flags have been put up along the route.

The Yatra would enter Delhi via the Badarpur Border in the morning and arrive at Ashram by 10.30 a.m., said party sources. The foot march will resume at 1:30 pm after a morning break and travel to Red Fort via Hazrat Nizamuddin India Gate.

Rahul Gandhi will pay respects at the Mahatma Gandhi memorial at the Rajghat during a halt in the yatra at the Red Fort. The Yatra will take a short break and return on January 3.

A nine-day pause would be taken to repair the containers and get them ready for the hard winter in the north, according to senior party leader Jairam Ramesh.

"Alo, after almost four months, many yatra participants will be able to spend time with their families. On January 3, 2023, the adventure will start up again." Beginning in Ghaziabad on January 3, the yatra will continue into Haryana and arrive at Sanoli Khurd near the Panipat border on January 6.

On the occasion, a huge rally will be organised the following day.
