8000 corona cases in a day for the first time in Delhi, third wave wreaks extreme

New Delhi: The third wave of corona virus in the country's capital, Delhi, continues to wreak havoc and a record 8,593 new cases of infection have been reported on Wednesday, bringing the number of infections to close to 4.60 lakh. Earlier on Tuesday, the highest ever 7,830 cases were registered.

According to data released by the Health Ministry of Delhi, the number of infections has gone up to 4, 59975 with the highest number of corona cases in the country's capital. The number of people who are healthy from the corona is also continuously increasing amidst the increase in new cases. A total of 4, 10118 people have defeated the corona virus so far after 7,264 and patients were healthy. At the same time, corona patients' recovery rate has come down to 89.16%.

In the same period, the number of people dying from corona infections has risen to 7,228 due to record 85 and death of patients. Earlier on Tuesday, the highest 83 corona patients lost their lives. It is a matter of concern that the number of healthy people has registered an increase in active cases as compared to new cases. The number of active corona cases in the capital has risen to 42,629 today.
