New Delhi: The second wave of corona infection in the country's capital Delhi seems to be slowing down. Its cases have been witnessing a sharp decline in the last few days. In Delhi, the number of infected people came down to below 4,500 on Tuesday, while more than 250 patients died today. The transition rate has now come down to 6.89 per cent from 8.42 per cent on Monday. Meanwhile, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday tweeted that the new form of corona in Singapore is said to be extremely deadly for children, which could come as the third wave in India. I appeal to the Union Government to cancel air services with Singapore with immediate effect and also to work on vaccine options for children on priority basis. According to a health bulletin issued by the health department on Tuesday, while 4482 new corona cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, 265 patients have lost their lives. The infection was detected in 4,524 patients on Monday. According to the bulletin, 9,403 patients recovered completely today and became corona-free, compared to 10,918 on Monday. The health department said that the total number of infected persons in Delhi has reached 14,02,873 so far and 31,197 patients are in home isolation.
