Delhi Election Results: Who Will Win the Battle?

NEW DELHI: The counting of votes for the Delhi Assembly elections started on Saturday. This election will decide if the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will continue for a third straight term or if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will return to power after 27 years.

By 9.40 AM, early trends from the Election Commission showed the BJP leading in 24 seats, including Ballimaran, Kirari, and Rajouri Garden. On the other hand, AAP was ahead in six seats.

Exit polls had predicted an advantage for the BJP over AAP. In response, AAP leaders accused the BJP of using exit polls to shape public opinion and trying to lure AAP candidates ahead of the final results.

The BJP dismissed these claims and asked AAP to withdraw the accusations, even threatening legal action.

According to the Election Commission, voter turnout was 60.54% on Wednesday.

AAP is aiming for another victory, while BJP is eager to reclaim Delhi after more than two decades. Meanwhile, Congress, which ruled the capital for 15 years, is struggling to regain its position.
