New Delhi: The Delhi government has once again come into active mode amid the panic of the coronavirus and its new variant Omicron. In 7,778 cases of violation of covid protocol such as non-wearing of masks, non-observance of social distancing and crowd gathering, a fine of Rs 1.5 crore has been imposed and 163 FIRs registered in the last 2 days by the government. The Delhi Government has informed that 1,245 cases of violation have been registered in East Delhi and 1,446 in North Delhi. Officials said that in the last two days, the compliance of corona protocol and other rules have been increased and revenue department teams have collected a fine of Rs 1.54 crore from more than 7,700 violators. At the same time, enforcement teams of the revenue department have constituted flying squads to take action against violation of physical distance rules at large meetings and restaurants, hotels, markets and other such places.
