HC slams Delhi government and MCD regarding salary of 9 thousand teachers

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has expressed its displeasure over the matter of non-payment of salary to 9 thousand teachers and 24 thousand pension dependents of North Delhi Municipal Corporation. The Delhi High Court on Tuesday has slammed the Delhi government and the North Delhi Municipal Corporation for this.

North Delhi Municipal Corporation told the High Court that salary has been given to 5 thousand people related to Corona Emergency Services. The High Delhi Court was also angry on this argument. The High Court questioned what other 3 thousand people who are in the reserve for the duty of Corona Emergency Services have committed the crime which has not been paid to them yet.

The High Court ordered that as soon as possible the remaining 3 thousand people who are on the reserve duty of Corona Emergency Services should be paid. Teachers should also be given salary. The High Court asked the Delhi government to file a written affidavit in the court as to when and how much money has been given to the North Delhi Municipal Corporation.
