New Delhi: Corona epidemic in Delhi, the capital of the country is wreaking havoc. So far, over 5.82 lakh cases of corona cases have been registered in Delhi and 9,424 people have lost their lives. Amid increasing infection cases, the Delhi government has decided to reduce the number of employees in government offices.

With this, now the officers working from home have been instructed to be present on the phone and WhatsApp continuously and not to go out of the city without prior permission. Several departments of the Kejriwal government of Delhi have issued a circular this week, stating that due to the rise in Corona cases, officers should be allowed to work from home. Also, all officers should always be available on phone and WhatsApp and do not go out of the city without prior permission.

Let us tell you that last week the Delhi government had issued an order, under which it was decided to ensure that 50 percent of government employees related to non-essential services will work from home to ensure social distancing in offices. However, this rule will not be applicable to Grade One and higher officials. The government has said in its proposal that this new system will remain in force till December 31.
