Delhi: Kejriwal unveils free preparatory school, hostels for Armed Forces

Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Chief Minister, announced Tuesday that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in the city will construct a free preparatory school for boys and girls interested in joining the Armed Forces on 14 acres of property in the Jharoda Kalan region.

He said, the "Shaheed Bhagat Singh Armed Forces Preparatory School" will also have hostels. "On 14 acres of land in Jharoda Kalan, we are constructing a 'Shaheed Bhagat Singh Armed Forces Preparatory School' where students will be trained for the Armed Forces. The school would be tuition-free and will have separate hostel for boys and girls "As Kejriwal stated.

Additionally, the Delhi Chief Minister stated that any student residing in Delhi is eligible to enrol in this institution for grades 9 and 11."Both classrooms will have a total of 100 seats. Classes will begin this year, and we have already received 18,000 applications "As Kejriwal stated.

Notably, the anniversary of Bhagat Singh's death is on Wednesday, for which the AAP-led Punjab government has declared a public holiday.
