A medical attendant was nabbed on Friday for allegedly snatching his employer's ATM card and taking nearly Rs 7 lakh from his account, police said. Satish Chandra, a native of Hathras in Uttar Pradesh, has been identified as the suspect, they added. According to police, an 80-year-old man from Safdarjung Enclave filed a complaint on March 7 regarding the loss of his debit card from his home. When the man checked his bank account data on March 15, he saw that Rs 7.23 lakh had been removed from his account using the stolen ATM card, according to a senior police officer. Police said, the elderly man claimed that Satish, his medical attendant, had been missing since March 3 and had allegedly turned off his phone. Satish was employed three months ago, the man told the police. Police began collecting information about Satish, who is currently the primary suspect in the case. During the inquiry, investigators discovered that the majority of the ATM card transactions took place in Hathras.
