Delhi: Rising corona creates panic among people, purchasing oxygen cylinders

New Delhi: Corona outbreak in Delhi is increasing continuously. On Tuesday, 13,500 new cases of infection have been reported. In such a situation, the common people have already started taking oxygen cylinders as a precaution, due to which demand has started increasing with those who supply oxygen cylinders. Ayushman Pawar, an oxygen cylinder supplier in Green Park, South Delhi, says that demand for the cylinder has increased in view of the increasing cases of corona.

People are preparing the setup at home by purchasing oxygen cylinders, plus meters and oxygen concentrators, as per the need. Different size cylinders are available in the market. According to Ayushman, the price of a 6-liter aluminum cylinder starts at Rs 6 thousand. The highest demand is the demand for a 10-liter cylinder, which is priced at 7,780. Corona patients whose condition is critical, carry a 40-liter oxygen cylinder, which costs 16 thousand rupees.

Not only cylinders, but there is also a demand for an oxygen supply concentrator (electric oxygen supply), the initial price of which is around 30 thousand. In the last few weeks, demand has suddenly increased, due to which the oxygen cylinder has started getting scarce. Oxygen cylinder suppliers also train people on usage. Ravindra Rana, a resident of Mehrauli, has also arranged oxygen cylinders at home for his elderly mother.
