There is no such death due to corona in Delhi, which has not been counted..', Satyendra Jain's statement on WHO's estimate

New Delhi: National capital Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said on Friday that there is no such case of death due to the coronavirus epidemic in the capital, which has not been counted. This statement of Jain has come at a time when the World Health Organization (WHO) had estimated the death of 47 lakh people in India due to this virus a day earlier.

Satyendra Jain, who arrived to attend the Swasthya Chintan Shivir organized by the Union Health Ministry at Kevadia in Gujarat, said the death toll due to corona given to the Centre by the Delhi government is authentic and correct. "I can't comment on the figures of the entire country or other states, but there is no figure of death due to corona in Delhi that has not been counted. "We did not count one death more and one deathless.

"Delhi is the capital of the country and is it possible that someone has died of corona here and no death certificate has been received?'' Jain said 100 per cent transparency has been maintained in data collection and death count. In a report released on Thursday, the WHO claimed that 47 lakh people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus infection in India. This number is almost 10 times more than the official figures for India. At the same time, the Indian government has termed the WHO's figures as baseless.
