Delhi Schools Get Heatwave Guidelines from Education Department: Check the Rules Here: The Directorate of Education (DoE) in Delhi has rolled out guidelines to ensure the safety of students and staff amidst soaring temperatures and heatwaves sweeping across North India. Here's a breakdown of what schools need to follow:

Display Heatwave Prevention Posters: Schools must put up posters highlighting measures to combat heat stress and heatstroke. No Afternoon Assemblies: To shield students from the scorching heat, schools are advised to cancel afternoon assemblies. Indoor Classes Only: Outdoor classes and activities are a no-go during heatwave alerts. Access to Clean Water: Schools must maintain working RO systems and offer students clean drinking water round the clock to keep them hydrated. First Aid Kits: Emergency kits and ORS solutions should be on hand to assist students showing signs of heat-related illnesses. Prompt Reporting: Schools should promptly notify nearby health facilities of any heat stress cases. Parental Awareness: Parents should ensure students wear protective headgear like hats, caps, or use umbrellas to shield from the sun. Water Breaks: Regular water breaks are a must during class hours, especially in extreme weather. IMD's May Forecast: Brace for Hotter Days Ahead

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), May is expected to bring above-normal temperatures across most regions of the country.
