New Delhi: A student of Lady Shri Ram College for Women has committed suicide. It is being told that scholarship has not been given to the student since March. The girl, who hails from Rangareddy district of Telangana, was the topper in the state in the 12th standard examination. To enable the student to get higher education, her parents had mortgaged the house. Aishwarya, a student of mathematics, has written a suicide note before suicide. According to the suicide note, Aishwarya's family could not afford her education. In the note she wrote that she does not want to be a burden on her family and does not want to live without education. Protests are taking place in many places after the student has taken such a step due to economic problem. Demanding justice for the protesting students, calling it 'institutional murder'. The Student Federation of India (SFI) says that Aishwarya was receiving INSPIRE scholarship from Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. However, the scholarship was delayed since March, due to which she has taken such a step. It told that the girl had already said that she does not have an internet connection nor a laptop, so she is not able to sit in the online class. Due to lack of laptop and internet, the student did not have study material, due to which she was very upset.
