Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala met Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya at Raj Bhavan to resume research work in the universities of Haryana. He also discussed many other topics of the state in detail. The Deputy Chief Minister informed the Governor that due to Corona, research work on agriculture and animal husbandry in universities has been adversely affected.

It is necessary to open laboratories especially for research students doing postgraduate and PhD so that their research so far does not go in vain. Talking to reporters after meeting the Governor, the Deputy Chief Minister said that all the universities are closed. Due to this, all research work is being interrupted. On this subject, a meeting of the student unit INSO was held recently and discussed with the students. Chancellors of all universities are governors, so the research work disrupted in the universities and the impact in agriculture, animal husbandry sector was brought to their notice. It is important to bring back research students doing postgraduate and PhD in universities because the years of hard work of researchers can go waste due to interrupted research.

Chautala further said that he has also discussed this with the Vice-Chancellor of Haryana Agricultural University (HAU). Foreign students are present in university campuses, but students of the state were doing research on wheat, paddy and livestock. Due to this, research work is being adversely affected. The Governor has said that he will discuss with all the universities and take appropriate decision on this. He said that the state government will send a program to the central government for examinations and opening of universities. After which a decision will be taken to open universities in the state under Unlock 2 starting from July. Education of students is an important subject.
