Fadnavis attacks Uddhav government on help, says 'Center gave 28 thousand 704 crores'

Mumbai: Political furore continues in Maharashtra amid Corona epidemic. Former state CM and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has attacked Uddhav government. In a press conference on Tuesday evening, Fadnavis said that in times of Corona crisis, the central government is working for the welfare of the poor, but such an environment is being created in the state as if the center is not helping.

Fadnavis said that during this crisis, the central government has given many packages for the poor. Foodgrains worth Rs 4592 crore have been provided. 1625 crore for free cylinder under Ujjwala scheme, while Rs 1308 crore has been transferred to Jan Dhan accounts. The central government has given money to Maharashtra for PPE kits, N-95 masks. Still it is being said that the center is not helping. At the same time, the central government has given Rs 9069 crore for agricultural produce.

Fadnavis further said that Rs 1148 crore was part of the state's tax, but the Center gave Rs 5 thousand 68 crore. The Center has given 300 crore rupees to help the migrant workers through labor trains. In this way, 28 thousand 704 crore rupees have been given to the state so far by the Center. Let me tell you that in the past, BJP leaders in Maharashtra, under the leadership of Devendra Fadnavis, had demonstrated against the state government and accused it of failing in fighting Corona.
