Talking to the media, Dharmendra Pradhan said that the prices of petrol, diesel, and LPG are now starting to come down. It will be further reduced in the coming days. We had already made it clear that the benefits of reduction in crude oil prices in the international market would be transferred to the final customers. For the last one month, the prices of petrol diesel are going down every day or they are intact. It is being linked to the assembly elections in five states. Opposition parties say the government is not increasing the price of petrol and diesel due to elections, as soon as the results come there, the increase will start again. What is the truth in this claim of the opposition will be known only after 2nd May. Let us say that there was no increase in petrol-diesel prices on the fifth day on Sunday. On Tuesday, petrol was 22 paise and diesel 23 paise cheaper. Petrol has gone up to Rs 90.56 per liter in the national capital, while diesel has gone up by Rs 80.87 per liter. In Mumbai, the figure for petrol-diesel is Rs 96.98 and Rs 87.96 per liter respectively.
