MP: Digvijaya's statement on Article 370 was called wrong by his daughter-in-law

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh is hot these days over Article 370. In fact, former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh has made a statement that he has been a part of the discussions. Now his family is misquoting his statement among all of them. Recently, his younger brother's wife Rubina Singh has termed Digvijaya's statement as false. In fact, Rubina told a well-known website, "I have suffered the pain of Article 370. If there was no house in Delhi, where would it have happened to those who did not have a house? The Congress should clarify whether it really plans to reconsider 370, as the statement says."

However, after Digvijaya Singh's statement to reconsider Section 370, the BJP has also angered him and many leaders have so far slammed him. When rubina was asked what she had to say on the whole issue, she said, "It's very unfortunate. That such unnecessary talk is being made about Kashmiri Pandits. It is very painful. I don't want to make it an issue. In fact, the Congress should think about what is happening." Moreover, on the reservation of Kashmiri Pandits, he said, "Whatever is being said about the custodian is completely wrong. There was never any reservation for them. I don't understand why this subject is being brought in."

At the same time, he also said, "I can say that most Kashmiris are happy with the decision to remove Article 370. When it was applicable, what happened to kashmiri pandits is not hidden from anyone. He was not happy at that time. The Governments did not make any special efforts for them. Neither the Congress nor the BJP did anything. As it has now been heard, the Congress will reconsider 370 when it comes to power, the Congress should clarify whether there is really any such plan?"

He further said, "He is my jeth. We don't want to make it a family matter. It is beyond my comprehension why they are raising this issue. That too from a Pakistani journalist, that is not correct at all. Such a statement on Kashmir could hurt the sentiments of the people. I am not quarrelling with them on this issue. I am just trying to point out that this is something which is wrong. What has happened is hurting most of the Kashmiri Pandits. In a democracy, they have every freedom to speak, but we are very sad.''
