A release issued by the public sector company Indian Oil Corporation on Sunday gave details in this regard. It says that the price of LPG cylinder (14.2 kg) has come down as a result of the fall in international prices and the change in the dollar-rupee exchange rate. For subsidized LPG cylinders, consumers are to pay at market price at the time of refill. The subsidy amount is then credited to the consumer's bank account. Consumers get 12 cylinders a year on subsidy. After the latest fall in the price of LPG cylinders, the consumer will get a subsidy of Rs 142.65 per cylinder and the applicable rate of cylinder will be Rs 494.35 in July 2019.
