New Delhi: Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has reacted sharply to the statement from Organization of Islamic Corporation (OIC), an organization of Muslim countries, regarding the ongoing hijab controversy in Karnataka. The Union Minister said that the OIC can say what it wants. But we have to stop communalism coming in the way to increase business cooperation. He said that other countries should not interfere in the internal issues of our country. Talking to the media, Naqvi said that hijab is also allowed in India and culture is also protected in the constitution of our country. The country today is running with co-existence only because of the Constitution. Where the constitution gives us rights, it also reminds us of duties. India is the only country where the freedom and respect of all religions is protected. This is a country where there are more than 6 lakh Islamic shrines. Taking a dig at Pakistan, Naqvi said how minorities should be treated. We do not need Pakistan's knowledge on this at all. Naqvi further said that people of all religions of the world live in our country. Such things do not suit a crime-ridden country like Pakistan. Naqvi asked whether any Hindu girl can chant Jai Shri Ram on the streets of Pakistan? Can a Sikh girl say Wahe Guru Da Khalsa on the streets there? Naqvi said that this cannot happen in Pakistan. Because even if anyone makes this effort, then his head will be beheaded. So in India, Allah Hu Akbar and Jai Shri Ram can be said together on the same road.
