Patna: The Bihar government has decided to deliver digital land records door-to-door for the public good. Giving a report on Friday, Bihar Government Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Ramsurat Kumar said that the Bihar government will soon deliver door-to-door digital documents of land, including khatiyan and maps, in the state. The same Khatian is a document to identify the land to decide the possession. Minister Kumar said in the Assembly that Bihar will be the first state in the country where people will get the facility of doorstep delivery of digital land documents and all preparations have been made to start this facility. The revenue map of villages, towns and cities of the state can now be bought online. The Minister informed that the department of posts will provide a speed post facility for the distribution of digital revenue/land records. He said that now the people of Bihar will not have to make a round of the government office or run after the employee for any document related to the land. He further said that his department has decided to launch an intensive drive in April to remove encroachments in both commercial and residential areas.
