In the ancient period, people used to dig knights in shining armor who’d rescue the damsel in distress, but in the 21st century, Dr. Rita Jairath has made one thing clear that women do not need knights to be rescued by as women are no more damsel in distress. In fact, women are their own bosses and could achieve anything whether it be in the domain of corporate or fitness. Dr. Rita Jairath has influenced umpteen women out there by being one of India’s few women bodybuilders. She writes indeed and is a columnist too. She is also a fitness administration consultant. Apart from that she also received an honorary doctorate from the United Nations diplomatic mission in the metier of child and women empowerment. In 2011, DR. Rita Jairath won the Gold’s Gym Ms. Fitness title and didn’t stop there but won the national body lifting championship for the next three sequential years. Dr.Rita is the female pioneer for competing in the Arnold classic along with Amateur Olympic and whatnot that this woman can’t achieve. In continuation to her endless list of achievements, she is the first-ever Indian woman to compete in the IFBB and National Physique Committee (NPC). Just competing is old-fashioned and cliche in her case, Dr.Rita has now won the IFBB-PRO card which makes her IFBB Pro judge 2021. She says,- “Winning the IFBB-PRO card as an ATHLETE was a life goal for me. But to be a woman BODYBUILDING JUDGE in a sport that is primarily a male domain has a greater intrinsic value for me that has far larger and deeper significance in my quest for self-actualization. Becoming an IFBB-PRO JUDGE was a life-changing moment for me and I know that this is where I belong, FOREVER.” During an interview, she mentioned,- “it’s a common problem to live an unfulfilled life. Do not put your life inboxes. Do not consider time as the only determining factor. Stop being hesitant to lead life and put one foot in front of the other. Do not worry about what society would say. She further says, “My son was diagnosed with Autism. But there was limited awareness about it in India. After asking for help from a US relative, I built therapy artifices and flashcards based on the autism literature they sent to me. Each one of my family members had lost hope in him, but I did not. One of the neuropsychiatrists suggested enrolling him in sports. Also, my son wanted to have six-pack abs. So, I took him to a gym and started training alongside him”. Not only this while her son was diagnosed with Autism, but her mother was also suffering from schizophrenia which could shatter anyone to pieces but she did not lose heart and still cached her will definite and abided on to this journey. After kenning the inside out of her, one would only say that she could win over anyone with her tenderness and her strong will. Her workout regime is as solid as her core. Her social media presence is indeed a treat to her admirers. There is a whole community of people who appreciates her and her fitness routine as she posts her exercises to keep her followers motivated. The cherry on the cake is the Bharatnatyam routine she performs. One might completely be in awe after attending the live appearance of her in the sumptuously classic saree with very fine Ghungroo on. In a nutshell, Dr. Rita is persistently unstoppable. She savors working tirelessly and lives for teaching aspiring athletes and her commitment to that might put one’s hands together in applaud.
