Bhopal: Voting for the country's presidential election will be held on July 18. Earlier, NDA's presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu reached Bhopal on Friday afternoon. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan welcomed Murmu. A tribal theme has been laid down to welcome Murmu. The BJP has fielded Draupadi Murmu of the tribal community as its presidential candidate. Apart from CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister Prahlad Patel, Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste, BJP National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, Home Minister Narottam Mishra, Urban Housing and Development Minister Bhupendra Singh, Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang along with BJP MLAs, MPs and workers welcomed Murmu. The brothers and sisters of the tribal society welcomed Draupadi Murmu by dancing in traditional dress at the State Hanger. From the State Hanger, Murmu left straight for the CM residence. Where she will participate in the meeting with MLAs and MPs. Thereafter, will leave for Delhi in the evening. Before this, Yashwant Sinha, the presidential candidate of the opposition, also reached Bhopal. He held a meeting with the Congress Legislature Party on Thursday. In this, BJP was accused of horse-trading to cast votes in the presidential election. In Madhya Pradesh, the votes for the post of President will be cast in the Legislative Assembly. Voting will be held on July 18. The Election Commission of India has appointed Jharkhand cadre IAS officer Satendra Singh as the observer of Madhya Pradesh for the presidential election. Singh will ensure fair and free elections.
