New Delhi: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has handed over a bike ambulance to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Monday with the aim of providing immediate medical care to those living in remote and narrow streets. Since then, DRDO's move has been highly appreciated. The Ministry of Defence has given information in this regard. The vehicle has been named Rakshita and has been developed by DRDO's Inmas Laboratory. This bike ambulance has been developed for those who live either in remote areas or in narrow lanes to provide them with first aid in case of an accident and illness. DRDO's move is being greatly appreciated. A release issued by the Ministry of Defence said that it will be used to save the lives of injured persons in conflict zones. This vehicle is useful for narrow roads and those living in remote areas, as ambulances cannot reach such places. It is going to be very effective for people.
