New Delhi: Corona cases are on the rise across the country. In view of these increasing cases and deaths, many other countries have offered financial assistance along with medical supplies, relief materials, oxygen, medicines as well as necessary to assist India. The DRDO has handed over 50 oxygen cylinders to Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad, Telangana under the presence of Union Minister Kishan Reddy yesterday to meet the shortage of oxygen in hospitals and medical institutes in the country immediately. These cylinders are of a capacity of 46.7 litres of water and can be pressurized up to 150 times and 7,000 litres of oxygen can be stored in each of these cylinders. A press release said these are high pressure cylinders certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (Bureau of Indian Standards). In Telangana, the total number of infection cases has crossed 4.50 lakh with 7430 new cases of corona infection in the state. While 56 more people have lost their lives from the disease. With this new death figure, a total of 2,368 people have lost their lives due to the disease in the state. Meanwhile, people are facing a lot of problems due to shortage of oxygen in city hospitals amid rising corona patients. In such a situation, this move of DRDO will give some support to the state's crumbling health system.
