Ujjain: FIRs were registered against nine health supplement manufacturers for adulteration following raid on manufacturing firm ‘Gajmark Pharma’. According to reports, FIRs were registered against owners of Gajmark Pharma, Pollen Pharma Private Limited, Vishnu Tamrakar and Rajendra Tamrakar Mumbai, Biyani and Sons, Omprakash and Manoj Biyani, Hitam Ayuh Care, Nilesh Laddha, Govind Maheshwari of Winchem Pharma, Jujer Mukhiya and Mustfa of Franky Remedies, Rahul of Pharmatech, Shashikant Singh Raipur of Polenjip Pharma and Dilip Jhnwar of Boon Pharmaceutical. The FIRs were registered under Section 420 of the IPC and other sections. Investigating officials said that Gajmark Pharma manufactured fake food supplements using names of famous national and multinational brands. Similarly, FIR was registered against Ayush Pisai Kendra’s owner Mahesh Porwal after receiving laboratory testing reports of samples of chilli powder. FIRs were also registered against two condensed milk manufacturer firms of Unhel. Food safety officer Shailesh Kumar Gupta said that FIRs were also registered against Pukhraj Enterprises’ owner Atul Sarraf and Oswal Traders’ owner Rajendra Jain, Viashal Jain and Ritesh Jain under sections 272 and 420 of the IPC for selling adulterated products.
