Drug dealer kidnaps girl child from Assam, Police rescues her from jungles in Arunachal Pradesh

The Assam Police has rescued a girl child, who was kidnapped from Dhemaji district in the state by a drug dealer. The girl was rescued by the Assam Police from the jungles in Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh?s East Siang district on Thursday morning. 

The development was confirmed by Assam DGP ? Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta. The accused has been identified as Arjun Pegu, a notorious drug dealer. ?Drugs turn people into monsters. These monsters spare none- even little ones! Dhemaji witnessed it yesterday,? said Assam DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta said. 

The rescue operation was carried out by the Dhemaji Police in coordination with the Pasighat Police. ?SDPO Jonai & @DhemajiPolice rescued the little girl early morning, today. SP, Pasighat and the kind people of Pasighat helped us immensely in this pursuit,? tweeted Assam DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta.
