Dua Lipa furious at allegations by World Values Network

NEW YORK: Singer Dua Lipa is hit hard at an organization that paid for a full-page ad in The New York Times. She blasts at renowned news agency that called her antisemitic for her support of Palestinians. She got furious over using her name shamelessly to advance their ugly campaign with falsehoods and blatant misrepresentations.

The rambling full page coverage ad appeared in Saturday’s newspaper in the main section. Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, the head of the World Values Network, named Lipa with other models Bella and Gigi Hadid as three mega-influencers who have accused Israel of ethnic cleansing and defaming the Jewish State. The songwriter Lipa took to Twitter to reject the false allegations. She said the World Values Network twisted the statement for what she was standing out for. She added ‘I stand in solidarity with all oppressed people and reject all forms of racism.’

As the tension remains to increase, a cease-fire was declared Friday. The 11-day war left more than 250 dead the vast majority Palestinians and brought widespread devastation to the already impoverished Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip. Many celebrities have taken to social media to post pro-Palestinian messages, including the singer Zayn, Roger Waters, The Weeknd and Mark Ruffalo. Lipa is dating Anwar Hadid, Gigi and Bellas brother.
