Bangalore: Congress Legislative Councilor Prakash Rathod has been found allegedly observing obscene material on his mobile phone during the Legislative Council proceedings on Friday. Local news channels in Karnataka broadcast some footage claiming this, although the charge has been dismissed by Rathore. According to media reports, during the proceedings of the house, Rathod is seen watching a video on his mobile phone, which was broadcast by the news channels. At the same time, Rathod denied the charge and told the press that during the Question Hour, he was looking at the question-related content in his mobile to ask questions to the government and was deleting some material on his phone as the space was full. He said, 'when I was looking at the content related to the question, there were a lot of messages, which I was deleting because of filling the space. What you saw and what I showed, I don't know. I will never do such things.' A similar incident took place in 2012 when three ministers of the state were caught on camera watching pornographic clips on mobile phones during the assembly proceedings, which greatly eroded the then BJP government. The three ministers resigned after the incident.
