Earthquake jolts Pakistan with the magnitude of 5.4

According to the US Geological Survey, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 hits Pakistan at 0804 GMT, 117 km east of the Swat Valley city of Mingaora, at a depth of 43.4 km. Minor vibrations were feel in Kashmir Valley too. No casualities have been reported so far.

The earthquake trembled the capital Islamabad, parts of Khyber- Pakhtunkhwa (KP) region in the northwest and some northern area of Punjab.

According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) KP , “from Peshawar that the intensity of the tremor was 5.5 and its epicenter was the Hindu Kush mountains.”
