NEW DELHI: According to the Economic Survey of Delhi 2021-22, Delhi's per capita income is rated third among states and union territories, with Goa in first place and Sikkim in second. As per the economic report, Delhi's per capita income in 2021-22 will be Rs 4,01,982 at current prices, up from Rs 3,44,136 in 2020-21, a 16.81 percent increase. Manish Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister of Delhi, presented the Outcome Budget for the fiscal year 2021-22 in the Legislative Assembly on Friday. Sisodia said, the Delhi government is the first to adopt the Outcome Budget, which details various projects and schemes. The advance estimate of Delhi's Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) at current prices for the fiscal year 2021-22 is Rs 9,23,967 crore, up 17.65 percent over the previous year. During the 2020-2021 fiscal year, Delhi maintained its constant revenue surplus of Rs 1,450 crore. However, according to the poll, Delhi's revenue surplus decreased by.04 percent between 2020-21 and 2021-22, falling to 0.18 percent of GSDP in 2020-21 and 0.14 percent in 2021-22. In comparison to last year, the fiscal deficit has expanded thrice this year. In 2020-21, the budget deficit would be Rs 9,972.96 crore, compared to Rs 3,227.79 crore in 2019-20, representing 1.27 percent of GDP versus 0.41 percent.
