Bakrid is a special festival of Islam. It is described in the Holy Book of Islam about when and why it is celebrated. One day Allah asked Hazrat Ibrahim for the sacrifice of the most beloved thing in his dream. So, Hazrat Ibrahim seemed to be his dearest son. They decided to sacrifice their son. This festival of Eid-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) also recognises the hajj, the fifth principle of Islam. On this day, people of Islam offer sacrifices to animals like goats, sheep, camels, etc. The meat of the sacrifice is divided into three parts on the day of the goat. One for self, the other for relatives and the third for the poor. On the day of Bakrada, all people pray cleanly and dressed in new clothes.
