The problems of politicians related to the D-company increased, ED started action

Mumbai: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has started strict action against the key members of D-Company and associates of drug trafficker Iqbal Mirchi before the Assembly elections in Maharashtra. Due to this, many big politicians including a former civil aviation minister can get into trouble. ED officials are questioning both Mirchi's associates about their relationship with politicians and builders.

These politicians and builders are allegedly related to transactions involving key assets of the D-Company. According to a senior ED official, Mirchi's associates Aaron Yusuf and Ranjit Singh Bindra are allegedly involved in the sale of Mirchi's three main properties. Mirchi died in 2013. These properties are Rabia Mansion, Mary Lodge and Sea View located in the posh Worli area. According to ED sources, the millionaire property dealer Bindra has good relations in the political and corporate sectors.

While Bindra contacted big and influential people, Yusuf exchanged money through money laundering. The D-Company was responsible for Yusuf to go to the post of chairman of the Sir Mohammed Yusuf Trust, the original owner of the buildings in the registry documents. All these deals were done in multiple layers to cover the ownership of Mirchi.
