Risk of heart attack and stroke endures even after recovering from corona- Reports

New Delhi: The corona epidemic continues across the country. A warning is also being issued for a possible third wave in India. Meanwhile, according to a study published in The Lancet Journal, the risk of heart attack and stroke is three times higher within two weeks of recovering from the coronavirus.

A study by The Lancet found that from February 1 to September 14, 2020, the risk of acute myocardial infarction or heart attack was compared to 3,48,481 common people in Sweden and 86,742 corona-infected people. It found that people who have recently recovered from coronavirus infection have tripled the risk of heart attack and stroke according to the common man.

Osvaldo Fonseca Rodriguez, a research associate and working at The University of Umia in Sweden, said people need to take more care of themselves for two weeks after recovering from the corona epidemic. He said that the bodies of those who recovered immediately were found to have three times more risk of acute myocardial infarction and stroke.
