Even after winning bronze, Pooja apologized to country, PM said- 'Your medal...'

New Delhi: Commonwealth Games 2022 continues to be the year of medals for India. Pooja Gehlot won a bronze medal for the country in freestyle 50 kg wrestling. Even after this Pooja Gehlot apologized to the country and said that she could not win the gold medal. Pooja became emotional and after this PM Narendra Modi cheered her up. When Pooja Gehlot spoke to reporters after winning the bronze medal, she apologized to everyone. Pooja Gehlot said I have lost, I am sorry. I apologize to the countrymen. I was hoping that I will play the national anthem here but got lost. I have got a bronze medal now, I will work on my mistakes.

 

The emotional video of the same Pooja went viral and after this, PM Narendra Modi also commented on it. PM Narendra Modi wrote that Pooja, your medal tells for celebration, not forgiveness. Your life's journey inspires us. Your success makes us happy. You have written to do great things in your life. You've always been shining like that. Let us tell you that Pooja Gehlot defeated the Scotland player 12-2 in the bronze medal match.
