Narayan Dutt, the ex-member of Congress and his son Rohit Shekhar today in the presence of BJP Party president Amit Shah has formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The 91-year-old Congress Veteran has remained Chief Minister of two states. He has served as CM of Uttar Pradesh thrice and of Uttarakhand one time. He was also the Minister for External Affairs during Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi cabinet.
His association with the BJP is considered to have the Brahmin's vote in upcoming Uttarakhand elections that are going to held next month in the state.
