New Delhi: Jasprit Bumrah provided a significant update on a prospective return and is arguably the player whose return is most anticipated by the Indian team and its supporters. Bumrah uploaded a couple images from his most recent training in an Instagram post, implying that he is almost certainly going to make a comeback for the national team. The song "I'm Coming Home" by pop group Diddy-Dirty Money was playing in the background of the video, which included some of Bumrah's images from an online session. Fans were given new hope by the video, which all but confirmed recent rumors that the veteran pacer may return for the tour of Ireland. Since his previous appearance against Australia in September of last year, Bumrah has been missing from the Indian team. According to earlier rumors, the 29-year-old might be healthy and available for the Asia Cup 2023. Bumrah began bowling at the NCA last month, according to a report, and could soon begin playing a few exhibition games. "For an injury of this nature, it is not wise to set any timeline as constant monitoring is necessary. But it can be said that Bumrah is recovering well and he has bowled seven overs at NCA nets. It is a steady increase in his workload from the light workouts and bowling sessions of the initial period. He will play a few practice matches (at NCA) next month, and there will be a close assessment of his fitness then," a source tracking the development told. "He should not be hurried. Playing practice matches at the NCA is a good step as it will help tune his body to the demands of a match. But he should be made to play in some actual (domestic) matches before bringing him to top level cricket," Ramji had said. Also Read: New Zealand Cricket Announces Fixtures for Men's and Women's Teams
