Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of the US social media company Facebook, said on Thursday that Facebook's Rs 43,574 crore deal with Reliance Jio will help in enhancing the product and technology in the rest of the world. Also, he also said that Facebook aims to create a 'better shopping and commerce experience' by working with JioMart in India through WhatsApp. Significantly, last week Facebook announced an investment of about Rs 43,574 crore in Jio platforms. In his statement, Zuckerberg said that through our partnership we want to do something different for the world through all products and technology. He said that is why we are excited about working with Jio to pursue this vision. Zuckerberg said, it will be expanded everywhere in the coming months and years. He said that the company's strong balance sheet proved to be an 'important asset' this quarter. Apart from this, Zuckerberg said that India has the largest number of Facebook and WhatsApp users in the world. He said, we think there is an important opportunity to serve small businesses and enable business in India in the long term. Zuckerberg said, Jio's small business initiative is better for bringing JioMart together and connecting millions of shops with WhatsApp across India, we think we are going to create a better shopping and commerce experience.
