Facebook refuses to remove fake news from its platform

Facebook has clarified that it will not remove Fake News from its platform because it does not violate the criteria of its community. Although Facebook said that if any news would look false then they would demote it in the news feed. After highlighting the fact that Russia is influencing voters in America by using social networks, Facebook has been investigating its role in spreading false news. The company tried to convince the journalists in an event in New York that they are solving the problems. 
 
The government has rejected the copy of the reply to the notice issued by the Indian government to Facebook in connection with the social media network Facebook providing information about people to Cambridge Analytica. The government says that Facebook has provided that information on the condition of maintaining privacy. 
The government has instructed to prioritize such locally produced cyber security products in government procurement, whose intellectual property rights are with companies or startups located in the country. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has issued an order in this regard. It said, "  Cybersecurity  is notified in a strategic area and in this, all government procurement agencies will prefer the manufactured/produced cybersecurity products at home."
