Noted cartoonist Gopi passes away from Corona, CM Chandrashekhar condoled

Hyderabad: Noted artist and noted cartoonist and illustrator 'Gopi' Lusagni Goal Goud has died due to corona virus infection. He was 69 years old. Gopi passed away on Friday while undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital in the state. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.

Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao has condoled the passing away of Gopi on Saturday. CM KCR said Gopi served as cartoonist and illustrator for forty years. He had shown his excellence as an artist. The CM termed Gopi's death as a huge loss to Telangana and expressed his condolences to the bereaved family members. Tell us that Gopi was born in 1952 to a farmer family in Mahbubnagar (Telangana). He graduated from JNTU Fine Art College in Hyderabad in 1975.

He first started his art career in his more than four decades of art experience by drawing pictures for various regional magazines, magazines and advertising agencies, print media. He also served as a freelance artist in the Department of Information and Public Relations for the Government of Andhra Pradesh (under United Andhra Pradesh) for 10 years under former CM N T Ramarao.
