Famous Malayalam playback singer Rimi Tomy decided to end her 11 years of marriage

Rimi Tomy is a popular playback singer in the Malayalam film industry. Rimi also hosts some of the music programs and has appeared as judge for reality shows as well. Her first solo "Chingamasam Vannu Chernnal" in Dileep-starrer Meesa Madhavan, shot her to fame instantly. Known for vivacious attitude, speculations are rife that the actress has filed divorce from husband Royce Kizhakoodan, after 11 years of marriage.

Rimi Tomy and Royce Kizhakoodan wedding was a low-key affair. The duo tied the knot on April 27, 2008, at the Lourde Cathedral Church in Thrissur. The reason to end this marriage is still unknown. But reports suggests that the couple has filed for divorce with mutual consent. A joint petition for divorce has been filed by the duo before the Ernakulam Family Court on April 16. Rimi Tomy was born in a Christian Catholic family in Pala, Kottayam. She started her singing career with the troupe named Angel Voice. She is presently seen as a judge on a comedy show aired on Asianet. Besides singing more than 100 songs in films, Rimi Tomy has also lent her voice for albums and stage programs across the globe.
