In the border village of Talwandi Rama of Gurdaspur, a debt-ridden farmer committed suicide by allegedly consuming a poisonous substance as per stated by police.
The police as per the sources news said 'The farmer, who owned three-and-a-half acres of agriculture land, owed Rs 7.50 lakh to different banks'
The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Jasbir Singh.
