New Delhi: Farmers' agitation against the central government's agricultural laws has been going on for quite some time now. Meanwhile, permission has been sought from farmers to demonstrate in Delhi. However, sources said Delhi police have not given any permission to the farmers in writing. According to sources, the police have placed some terms and conditions before the farmers over the demonstration. If it is completed, around 200 farmers will come to Jantar Mantar by a bus tomorrow and hold peaceful demonstrations at Jantar Mantar itself. According to the information, the farmers will reach Jantar Mantar at 11.30 am. They will be made to sit peacefully on the church site at Jantar Mantar. In addition to five police, 5 companies of paramilitary forces will be deployed in view of Jantar Mantar and the protection of farmers. Also, everyone's identity card will be allowed inside the barricade only after checking. At 5:00 p.m., the farmers will end their demonstration and return to the Singhu border. However, Delhi Police has not officially said anything so far regarding permission for the demonstration. Farmers' organizations had said on Tuesday that a 'Kisan Sansad' would be held at Jantar Mantar during the current monsoon session of Parliament. From July 22, 200 protesters from the Singhu border will arrive daily. Earlier in the day, in a meeting with Delhi Police officials, a farmer leader said that farmers will hold peaceful demonstrations at Jantar Mantar demanding cancellation of agricultural laws and no protesters will go to Parliament where the monsoon session is going on.
