Mumbai: A shocking news has come from Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. In fact, the father-daughter relationship here is once again ashamed. According to the information received, a 12-year-old stepdaughter has been sexually assaulted by a father here. Police say, 'The family lived on a footpath in Mumbai Central. The accused works as a labourer. The accused was arrested on the basis of a mother's complaint on the act with the daughter.' The case is said to be from the Aagripara police station area of Mumbai. In the case, police said, a 47-year-old labourer has been arrested for sexually assaulting his 12-year-old stepdaughter. Police said, the incident took place last Monday morning and the accused was arrested on the basis of a complaint by the girl's mother by evening. As part of the information received in the case, the accused and his family lived on a footpath in Mumbai Central. There were other families who lived on the same footpath. Police say a woman noticed the man touching the victim incorrectly and then told the girl's mother about it. The accused then fled when the woman protested with her husband over the act. The mother then took her daughter to the Agraipara police station and lodged a complaint against her husband. The police then traced the man at Kamathipura and arrested him. He has now been booked under Section 354 (assault or criminal force with intent to defile a woman) of the IPC and Sections 10 and 12 of the POCSO Act.
