Thane: A massive fire broke out at Orion Business Park and Cine Wonder Mall on Ghodbunder Road, Kapurbawadi in Thane, Maharashtra, on Tuesday evening. The news of the accident was immediately given to the fire department and the police. According to the initial information, there are no reports of any losses in the accident. Many vehicles of the fire department are trying hard to extinguish the fire. Avinash Sawant, head of Thane Municipal Corporation's regional disaster management cell, said the fire broke out around 8.30 p.m. and spread to a nearby mall. At present, several fire engines, along with police, disaster management, and fire brigade officers, are present on the spot. According to the agency, the Orion Park building is located near the Cine Wonder Mall, where the fire broke out. It is said to have more than 60 shops and offices. Avinash Sawant told that there is no report of any loss in the accident. There is no news of anyone getting injured in this incident. Efforts are on to control the fire. Earlier, a fire broke out in a candle making factory in Dhule in North Maharashtra on Tuesday afternoon. In the same accident, four women died due to scorching, while two others were injured. Women were busy making candles at the factory located in Veskedi village of the district, about 320 km from Mumbai, when a sudden fire broke out in the premises at around 2 p.m. The police said that six women were burned in the fire. Four of them were later declared dead at a rural hospital. The cause of the fire is yet to be known. Police have registered an FIR for negligence against the factory owner and have started an investigation.
