India ranks 108 in FIFA rankings, Belgium holds first position

The world ranking has been released for June by FIFA, the regulatory body of world football. In this ranking, the Indian men's football team is standing at 108th position. India currently has 1187 points and has neither lost nor gained a single point. Belgium are in first place, France second, Brazil third and Uruguay fourth and Croatia fifth. International football has been postponed since March due to the coronavirus epidemic. In such a situation, there is no change in the ranking of any team.

At the same time, after Coronavirus, the Indian men's football team will play their match in the FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifying against Asian champions Qatar on October 8. India was scheduled to play their match against Qatar in Bhubaneswar on 26 March, but it was postponed due to Coronavirus. Apart from Qatar, the Indian team will host their other matches with Bangladesh on 12 November and then Afghanistan on 17 November.

Let us tell you that India remains fourth in Group-E of FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifying with three points from five matches. Bangladesh team is at the bottom of the table of five teams. The next ranking of FIFA will be released on 16 July.
